This website shows a pilot a graphical view of the notams valid for the requested route. The site can be used for any flight, worldwide.
By filling in the details of your planned flight, the system selects the notams valid for the supplied route, time period, type of flight and flight level.

Selection page:

Field Meaning
Icao codes of your route: The 4 letter Icao-codes of your departure and arrival airport.
If the route is not a straight line you can supply the icao codes of the enroute airports as well.
Arrival and departure date/time: The time interval for which you want to check valid notams.
Default, the present date/time and a time period of 24 hours is filled in.
The format is dd-mm-yyyy hh:mm, i.e. 31-12-2008 23:59
VFR and IFR checkboxes: Choose your type of flight: VFR, IFR or both.
Between FL .. and FL ..: Choose the flight level interval in which you plan your flight.
Half width of flight path: The half width of the corridor around your track, signifying how far from your track you wish to check valid notams.
Enroute notams en nav notams: Check this box if you also wish to see airport and nav notams enroute along your track and not just notams from the locations you filled out the icao codes for.
Fir notams: Check this box if you also wish to see all notams in the FIRs/UIRs you pass on your route, not belonging to specific icao codes, and therefore published under the FIR icao code.
For US airspace, if you check this box, you will get the FDC notams that belong to the ARTCC regions your flight will pass through.
Regulatory notams: Check this box if you also wish to see regulatory notams published by the US Flight Data Center: information that is regulatory in nature pertaining to changes to charts, IFR procedures, special emergency airspace restrictions, international airspace revisions etc.
Map page:

On the left side of the page all notams selected for your flight are displayed in text. On the right side, a map is shown of the region of your planned flight. On this map, markers are shown that signify one or more notams for that location.

Using the map:
Navigating: you can navigate the map by dragging the map with the mouse (or finger or arrwokeys).
Zoom in and out: for more detail or a better overview you can zoom in or out by a double mouse click on the map, the mouse control wheel, using the +- control in the lower right corner of the map or your fingers.

Markers
By clicking on a marker, an info window is displayed containing the text of the notam.
By clicking elsewhere on the map (or click on the x in the info window) the infowindow disappears again.
The markers on the map may be red or blue. The red ones, signify a single notam, the blue ones signify more notams in the same location. The info window, displayed when clicking the marker, contains the text of one notam (red marker) or all notams making up the blue marker.
These blue markers may 'dissolve' in several single (red) markers when you zoom in. This is due to the fact that the locations of several notams may be close together. On a large scale map, they would seem to be in the same location and markers would be hidden behind each other. To avoid these hidden markers, multiple markers are clustered into a single (blue) marker when the zoom level necessitates this. When zooming-in the clustered markers dissolve into single markers when the zoomlevel reaches a value where the single markers can be identified.

Notam 'folders'
The notams on the left are stored in 'folders': 'notams shown on map', 'non-plotted notams (not shown on map)' and 'regulatory notams (not shown on map)'.
. Folders will only be visible if they actually contain notams, e.g. the 'regulatory notam' folder will only be shown if regulatory notams are retrieved. You can collapse and expand the folder by clicking on the or - symbol on the left of the folder.
The folder 'non-plotted notams (not shown on map)' contains notams for which no geographic coordinates were found and which could therefore not be shown on the map.
This folder also contains notams that cound not be interpreted, due to the fact that they didn't conform to the correct format, and could therefor not be shown on the map either. These non-interpreted notams could not be filtered on the selection of dates, flight level, IFR, VFR etc. and may not be valid for your planned flight.
Notams in which a error ocurred during the process of interpretation are shown in red.

Important
It is very important to read the notams in the folders 'non-plotted notams' and 'regulatory notams' since you won't see them on the map on the right and they may contain important information for your flight.
Also make sure to read the notams in red (error) in the folder 'notams shown on map', whereas due to misinterpretation of the notam text, an incorrect location might be shown on the map.
Not all countries supply notams with coordinates. For those countries, all notams found for your requested flightpath will be shown on the left side of the screen in text, but only the notams containing geographic coordinates can be visualised on the map.
Coordinates input box
When notams describe a specific active area, this is often done by means of geographic coordinates. These areas will be plotted on the map. However, sometimes the system is not capable of interpreting the area described.
This can be due to a text like '... along the FIR boundary to ...'. In such a case you can plot the coordinates in the notam text yourself (in the input box on the lower left side of the map) and click 'Draw'.
That way you can still determine part of the area and interpret the text like 'along FIR boundary' yourself.

Export to KML
The selected notams for your flight having a geographical area, can be exported to KML (a geographic exchange format). When hitting the 'Export to KML' button, a KML file is downloaded.
This file can be opened in other applications like ForeFlight. When importing the file in ForeFlight, an extra layer will be shown with the plotted notam geographical areas as well as clickable placemarks belonging to such areas.
By clicking or touching the placemark, the notam text can be seen in a popup.
